August Picnic will be Sunday, August 10 at Honeyman State Park. We gather at the Yurt at 12 noon and eat at 1:00 PM.

What to bring: 1. A table setting for yourself and guest. (plate, silverware, napkin, drinking cup) 2. Your favorite beverage(s). 3. Plant or other garden gift for the “gift game”. (if you want to participate) 4. Meal item- you can bring a hot dish, dessert or salad.

Dates for chapter flower shows in 2009 will be the Early Show, Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12. The 102nd Annual Rhody Festival show will be Saturday, May 16 and
Sunday, May 17.

How does one get a "known" Rhody or Azalea into the current Chapter Flower Show Key if it cannot be found?

Contact Paul "Ziggy" Ziegelmair, best by email fpziegelmair@charter.net, so he can see the correct spelling of the rhody/azalea. You can even write out the name on a piece of paper and give it to him at a chapter meeting. He will then assign a Show Key "class number". From there he gives the information to Paul Wilson, webmaster, who places it into the Show Key and publishes it to the chapter website before the next flower show.

Our poor beloved Chapter President is getting desperate to find a Chapter Garden Tour Coordinator. Would a chapter member PLEASE volunteer for this coming year to get Mike out of this embarrassing predicament. Sorry, Mike, the dummy will not work!
